Wow, that's really bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well any of you that has seen this lake around the 6 mile area may not recognize it. This is looking from my bulkhead looking across at the public ramp at 6 mile and one from the same place looking at the bridge also showing the shallow water in front of the marina. A little over 12 feet low we are.

Actually this is looking at the bridge.
This is looking at the boat ramp across 6 mile. It's close to a mile across here.
Then a little left a look across with my neighbors dock.
Wow, that's really bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah it really sux. YOu can see the buoy for the boat lane in the pic with the dock in it and it runs just this side of the lay down trees and land you see out in the water.

That's a real shame, where is your boat ? is it still stuck at pier. I know up north of you,Big Sandy &Gilmer area where my sister lives all their pastures are dead, dried up like a box of corn flakes..........
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

Yes jaxsprat and I have to do something about that. I have a nice boat house I built next to where I took the pictures, but I have like a old boat shed I use more with a life in it and it's about 100 feet or a little less farther back than where I am. There is a ditch like that comes between me and 6 mile marina and the shed is on that were my boat house is facing out where the pics look. I am going to have to spend a few bucks to get it out, but get it out I am going to do.

Skip, how long do you think it will take to get the water back up? Should your normal spring showers fill it back (assuming you get 'normal' rains)?
Looks like you might get a little of the precip. we're getting today, but I know it's going to take a lot more than this slight fall activity to raise the lake... And according to the NOAA this winter isn't likely to help: U.S. dealt another La Niņa winter but
well it depends on how big of a rain we get as well as just East of Dallas. I have seen it fill up and over several years back when it was something like 8' low in 2 weeks, but we had back to back weekends of 10" rains each. Now though it's down a bit over 12' so if we had a few real hard rains in a short time it would fill up with all the run off that comes with hard rains. However we also need that East of Dallas to get a lot too as the Sabine comes for there and there are a couple of lakes that if they fill and release water that would help too.
All we can do is pray for a lot of rain.

Wow Skip that bites!!!!!!!!!!! That low water has got to be hurting the fish spawn
I used to go once a month and stay 2 - 3 days to fish the lake. I do miss that. I was hoping a tropical strom was going to park over it last summer. I read the SRA has lost more than 10 million dollars this year because they are not able to generate power. I read the level every day in the newspaper, holding at 160 - 12 feet low. Wish us luck!
