    Default Fall crappie hunting


    Two days ago i fish the shallow for crappie water temp was 57 no bite when deep no bite about 1:30 the bite pick up what kind of pattern is this

    Were you fishing the same water at all three time periods...?? Same depth... Same type of structure...??

    I would guess that at 1:30 you found the most comfortable water conditions for the fish...

    Could be they were following a school of baitfish that came through.

    I suspect that's right. Sometimes I think I've hit on a great new idea because I catch a bunch of fish in a short time. But then I can't repeat it and have to assume I was just in the right place at the right time when a school of crappie happened to come along.
