    Question Best Crappie lake/accommodations?

My brother and I are wanting to take my dad crappie fishing in Mississippi
next spring, probably mid March. What lake has the best crappie for size and numbers and good accommodations on the lake, cabins, boat slips, marina?
He is 76 years old and would like a place to stay on the lake or close to it.
    Thanks,
    Dave :p

Hey Bassky. I've always been partial to Eagle Lake. It's just north of Vicksburg and is well known for large crappie. There are several camps on it, but I have never stayed at one and don't remember the names. You could do a internet search on it and get all the information you need. You can use Louisiana or Mississippi fishing licenses on Eagle Lake. Shop for the best price.---Pooch

Sardis, Enid, and Grenada in Northern MS are also good lakes. That time of the year you can fish both the main lake and the spillways. They all have very good accommodations, some close to the lake others a few miles away. They also have very good camping facilities, since all are state parks run by the COE. All 3 are located right along Interstate 55 for easy access.
