Great program! Nice work being the mentors for those kids! That is what it is all about. That would have been fun to watch and participate in.
My buddy Duck Jerky and I got the opportunity to take a kid fishing in the Crappie Masters Scholarship Youth Championship a couple of weekends ago on the Alabama River. We had a great time and it was awesome seeing the smile on those kid's faces. We let our youth angler drive the trolling motor and idle the boat around plus we caught a ton of fish. We just couldn't manage any goods ones but there was plenty of action and plenty of fun. The good thing was he was able to spend his gift card right there at the weigh in since it was at Bass Pro.
The rules were the youth angler had to set the hook and land the fish. We were able to bait hooks, get lines un-snagged, and net the youth's fish. I'm glad we got the opportunity to participate as it was very rewarding.

Great job but please encourage the kid to put glasses on when the boat is moving. Hate to see an eye injury from a bug or something.
You done good!!
