    Default Problem with Fish Finders

I have 2 fish finders. The transducer of one is mounted on the trolling motor. The transducer of the other is on the back of the boat. The fishfinder on the back of the boat works fine when the fish finder on the front is off. However, when the one on the front is turned on the fish finder on the back goes crazy. It will either show no depth or depths that are much, much deeper than the actual depth. It seems that the one on the front of the boat is interfering with the one on the back of the boat. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Default try this

some fish finders have a frequency selection in the setup try setting one of your finders to a different frequency. i have seen this before years ago with an old hummingbird 400 and my lowrance the 400 would go crazy every time i turned on the lowrance till i changed the frequency setting

That is exactly your problem. Most folks get two totally different units operating on different frequencies - problem solved.
