Default Fall Feeding Frenzy On Lake Greeson

Our surface temps are hovering in the low 70's so it's still a little early but the better crappie are bunching up near cover on deep, steep points and getting a little more agressive. On Sunday, we fished from 19 to 25-feet deep in 20 to 32-feet of water. I don't know why they are that deep - they haven't been all summer.

Rosy Red minnows and small Shiners were most productive but we caught a few - including the biggest Black Crappie - on Slater's jigs tipped with small minnows. Chartreuse/silver/chartreuse was the best color but we also caught a few on gray/silver/gray.

Our biggest White Crappie was 2-pounds, 4-ounces:

The weather was perfect and it was a great day to be on the water!

See Jerry that's what I missed out on last spring. Great pics and save a few for us...maybe this spring will work out.
