    Default Went deep and shallow

Fished Lake St Louis Saturday. Put the boat in the small lake first and was catching them in 25' deep brush piles. Caught about 30 at 9 1/2 - 11". Was tough staying in place with the wind. Went home and ate lunch and then put in at the large lake. I fished shallow docks and put a spanken on the large crappie. Caught two 14" white crappie and one 13 1/2" black crappie. Caught another 15 fish that were 12-13". The big black crappie was impressive with how wide and thich it was. Let the big boys go and kept the others for a nice fish fry. Headed back up to the small lake again to try and locate some bigger ones if i can withstand the wind.

You are the man, my sister lived there for a couple years so I got to fish that lake a lot and never get on a pattern. Good luck today.

I caught all the bigger ones on the famous beagle man chartruse/rootbeer slab buster. You learn alot here on this site.
