Default Warsaw, Bolivar Mo. area crappie ?

Will be making a trip fairly soon to the Warsaw and Bolivar , Mo. area. I know the big lakes are there, Truman, LOZ, Stockton, but it might be easier for me to fishing smaller water in my smaller boat. Does anyone have suggestions on smaller bodies of water to fish in that region.

ksdog...check out some of the Conservation Lakes in Missouri. they are managed by the MDC and are usually 100 acres or so. Some are trolling motor only, some allow small gas motors.

When I lived there, I fished a lot of those lakes and they hold pretty good fish. They get a little busy sometimes but are nice lakes.

Here's a link to the MDC and you can check whick onses are closest to you

The upper end of truman is pretty small boat friendly (More river like) in the deepwater arm or the Osage arm, pomme arm, they are all a half an hour from warsaw or less. Stockton Lake would probably be the closest from Bolivar. I have a little 15 foot john boat and feel pretty comfortable in it in most areas of truman lake.
    HAVE POLES, WILL TRAVEL.
