Default Crappie Fishing With a Flasher/Pics

For us northeren guys fishing with a Flasher in the winter on ice is a common thing to do. Last fall i tried using it on my boat. It worked out well. So this fall i have gone back to it and it is doing wonders. Tonight we fished for an hour and15min. and landed 102. All were released. I never dropped the jig without catching a crappie.

Are you using the same TD that came with it. You just float it in the water?

I have a trolling motor xducer this year. Last year i ran the xduce cable down the trolling motor shaft and taped it allowing the xduce to hang strait.

my 1st DF/FF was a flasher, I remember those well, probably did better back then than I do now. LOL Congrats, just goes to show that the latest & greatest in electronics don't always result in more fish in the boat.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Just had a flashback. My first locator was the Lowrance 'green box'.

Looks like they was stacked up like cord wood, sure makes it exciting and fun. Only problem is when you go to bed still feeling the DOINK and setting the hook.
