I would like to put together a list of fall time crappie fishing tips, tricks, and what to look for with changing water conditions.
With the limited amount of experience I have I starting by looking for the shad around the mouths of creek arms and hitting the first brush I see. Most of the time I use a 1/8 oz jig with a stand out wire hook above it. I have had a lot of luck with this so far.
I also have put in a fare amount of time shooting docks and have started to get an eye of what to look for. I am looking for the dock that the true fisherman owns with structure all around it or the dock on a point with a large boat in it or a metal boat lift. I am using 1/16 or 1/32 oz grub and shooting it back in to the deepest darkest hole I can find. One note on this is when I am not on the water I practice dock shooting by shooting through the legs of a lawn chair in to a five gallon bucket.
THis article is very good. It's usually somewhere in most forums.
