    Default Florida Crappie Club 15th tournament of 2011 schedule


    Results of October 1st event
    Lake Arbuckle, Frostproof, Fl

    Arbuckle is North - South Lake
    3,800 acres, shallow lake, 6ft ave
    with multi holes.....

    Wind out of North 8 - 12 mph,
    gusting to 18, with water temp
    87.3 in am up to 89.8 by 2pm

    Rated excellant for Crappie -Bass
    Blue Gill & shellcracker

    (One) position paid for "Big Fish"

    1st: Mark Irle & Rick Hartsock
    1 lb. 1.87 oz

    (One) position paid for "7 fish total
    catch weight"

    1st: Mark & Chad Gilman (father-son)
    6 lbs. 0.5 oz

    All winning fish came from North end of lake
    in 5 - 6.5 water, spider riggin, minnow tipped

    Winners were fishing with Wally Marshall long rods
    using "Ron's Zip Jigs(hot pink main color with Blue
    & blue with black head primary backups)


    Note: Low or no water in lake have moved the following
    tournaments:

    October 8th tournament @ Orange Lake has been moved to
    October 22nd, Lake Sante-Fe up by Gainesville

    Lochloosa Lake trounament of November 12th is moved to
    the St John's River, Astor, Fl.

    No sir, all tournaments are on Saturday's do to family time commitment for Sunday and church...

    With tournament circuit moving to Sante-Fe for first time, could be good thing for future of
    club in Northern part of state. Gainesville - J-ville- Lake City, etc.
    I will not be able to make this one, but am planning on the St Johns River tournament @ Astor, Fl,
    have doctors appointment on 21st, which will put body out of commission for couple days
