leesville lake

Has anyone ever tried out leesville lake? I have heard the crappie fishing there is pretty good. I've been thinking about making a trip to try it out. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Leesville is probaply one of the better MWCD lakes for crappie. It has a great population and some really nice slabs. It has alot of weedbeds and brush for cover. EBCC will be having a tournament there May 6th which should be in the heat of the spawn.

my family has a cabin down there... ive never personally caught any crappie down there all i ever do catch is bluegillo/sunfish but then again i dont use the pontoon as much as i should

as for the tournament on the 6th... ill be down there that weekend ill be fishing from shore at the palermo dock club right around the corner from the petersburg marina.... just wave and shout HEY sonic so i feel special lol
