Lake Marion

Has any one tried lake marion in haines city went a couple years ago and had fun. This is the lake off of 27 not in kissimmee

Yes, and well, we tried a couple different trolling paterns, went all over the lake, but ended up fishing almost exactly opposite banyons fish camp in the kissimmee grass. Sitting still in 6 fow, fishing 3 to 4 foot down, casting minnows out with the boat parked in the grass edge. There is kinda a canal or run that goes between the island and the fish camp with grass and lily pads. We caught fish next to the boat and away from the boat on spinning reels and cane poles. Several guys were fishing for specs and they were all helpful talking about the lake.

We ended up with 18 or so, and several were over 12". I think it is one of the least talked about quality spec lakes around. The folks at Banyon's were pretty nice as well. Shell Cracker was pretty good there too.
