    Default Starting to get 'em


    Fairly new to crappie fishing, so I found a honey hole and took the wife and kids out there. There are two stumps with a brush pile between them in 30' of water - and we smoked them. The wife enjoyed it so much that for her birthday yesterday she picked out a crappie pole and is now demanding that I take her crappie fishing every weekend (not sure if that is good or not!)!!!!! Here are a couple pics of the last trip - they is getting bigger:

    Congrats on a great catch and Happy Birthday to your wife. My wife had a Birthday yesterday also, can't understand how she is 29 again as she was the same age when I met her 20 years ago LOL. Sounds like the perfect gift to give your wife.

    I get more fishing out of the deal and the wife/kids have a blast......now I have to figure out how to catch them during the daytime.

    I caught about that many crappie today but all mine were about 5" long Doh Congrats on a great day!!
