    Default Guts?

this may sound like a stupid question to some of you, but i just moved from the country into town and i don't know what to do with the remains after i clean them. before i'd just throw them in the corn field and that was it. should i bag them and throw them in the trash? what do some of you do?

We set out trash on Sunday evening for Monday morning pick up, so if we go fishing on Saturday or Sunday, I just bag it and put it in the trash. However, if it's earlier in the week or the weather is very hot, I will freeze the remains first so they don't: 1) knock over our trash collector or 2) attract critters.

Small fish I turn into the garden, but larger ones and especially catfish, attract coons and coyotes, so they go into the trash. - Roberta

throw them away at a gas station dumpster or somewhere like that, if you bag it and it has to sit there for more than a day it will be horrible smelling.

If I can fit the bag in the freezer I will do that until garbage day. If it won't fit I take it to the carwash up the street

I put the remains in my freezer until the night before they pick up the trash. It is against the law to put trash in a commercial dumpster without the owners permission. Very Large fines here if you get caught doing it.

I guess I'm opening myself up for some kidding here, but I've got sort
of a quirk about that... I always put 'em in a bucket and drop them off
a bridge into a creek the next morning, tip my hat and say "thank you"
to the fishies. I'm superstitious about putting 'em in the garbage -
might po the "fishie spirits" My co-workers and the little lady at the
drive-thru window seem to enjoy the aroma coming out of that juicy
bucket too :D Nobody parks close enough to put door-dings in my
    truck that way!

I do all of the above.....exept for J White's way. Somnetimes I freeze them then put them out on trash day, but if I only have a few I drop them at a trash can at a gass station. It is illegal to dump them in the dumpster, but the trash can beside the pump is perfectly legal.

I got a creek close to the house. All the critters in it appreciate them. BTW, they also make good rose fertilizer.
