    Default Pomme de Terre Spillway open


    Went over to the 50th anniversery event at the river park today. I think they had a pretty good turn out. I couldn't wait to see
    how the fishing was effected by the work they did behind the dam. My report is that its still a pretty good place to fish.
    I caught my limit of small crappie on minnows. Had three doubles Hands Clapping. Caught a couple of nice channel cats maybe 2lbs and a few
    really small ones. The guy I was with somehow hooked into a huge grass carp or something. It had to be around 50lbs. He had a
    little fun with it before it broke off.
