Took a neighbor out trolling today

and man, did he have fun! He's one of the other dock-bound fisherman like me (or like I used to be, before I started trolling).

We caught about a dozen good-sized crappie. Odd, there was only one dink to release all day and only a handful of bass (also released).

Big fun of the day was his 24" northern pike. Like last week, it hit on a 1-1/2" microtube.



He's got a trolling motor, but a dead battery. I think he went to the battery store this afternoon!

It is always nice to have someone along when trolling, to help when all the poles go down at once. Nothing gets your heart rate up more, than a Chinese Fire Drill. Good catch! EB
