    Default Up from Bucksaw with a special partner...


    Finally got the wife to fish with me today. Taught her the long pole technique and she caught on somewhat. We fished shallow and deep. Big fish of the day 15" white crappie was caught in 12 fow just off the bottom on the rise. Shy of two limits, but some good fish. Caught several in 6-8 fow, both jigs and minnows worked equally well. Found one cedar that was hot hot hot. I used that tree to train her on the thump thump of crappie fishing.

    Back tomorrow in the kayak launching off W.

    It was tough for us too, but we found a hot spot every now and again.
