I don't think cold fronts have as bad of an affect on crappie in the fall. However this time of year can be challenging, try transitional areas and work your way to the shallows.

hey guys there are reports of a cold front coming in next weds. evening. the question I have is do you think thursday will be o.k. for crappie and perch or is good to wait another day. also do think they will continue to come in shallower? thanks for the advice

Starvn's right. Water is cooling down, that's good. Alot of people did well yesterday in SW Ohio after several days of rain and temperatures 15 degrees colder than they had been. Water temps have fallen quite a bit for such a short time, yet the bite's been good.
The front that came through last week didn't hurt anything. Give it a shot.
