I use the one from EdgeMaker Pro https://secure.edgemaker.com/section...spx?prod_id=26

My fingers attest to the fact that it works...all too well.

Edit: I use the Yellow one with the finest grit. I figure my hooks never get so bad that I need a medium or coarse grit to get it back in tune. Five or six strokes on the fine grit gets it as sharp as it's ever gonna be.

My sharpers have legs! They seem to walk off all the time. My kill switch lanyard walked off with them the other day.

I use a diamond dust-coated nail file. They are available for $5 or less in just about any drugstore.

I have a lttle knife sharpning stone. To be honest, I have not used it in years. If I find that I have a dull hook. I just tie on a new one.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

I make up leaders and just change out when needed.
I use Matzou sickles and you can't get any sharper

    .

Your cheaper hooks are case hardened so once you sharpen one, it' never going to be as sharp.

I have tried the matzou's. Still not as sharp as Gamakatsu's.
