Labor Day at El Dorado Lake

Fished El Dorado on the 5th for some walleyes and was doing very well with a 24 and a 22 in the tank and several shorts until some boater came and dropped an anchor in the area we were fishing. OK, plan B. Went to a long brush pile in 14-18 fow and caught some nice El Dorado slabs. Two of them went 14 and several around 12 to 13 inches. We was using big baits and the fish would smack it hard. Had a great time trying to stay away from the sailboats…

Saturday morning at El Dorado the boat traffic was very light but we got off the lake about noon. Kind of suprising for a holiday weekend. Pulled some crappie off the same long brush pile I think you're talking about.
