Default Mosquito Lake and Shenango 4-2-06

A buddy of mine and I fished Squito and Shenango yesterday. Squito in the morning, then Shenango in the afternoon. Did not catch any fish at Squito, but marked a bunch of spots after talking to some others out on their boats. Caught a few at Shenango but nothing to write home about. I did catch one real nice pregnant perch at Shenango that I released back into the water for future "seeds".

Jim, i went over to squito yesterday and hammered the fish. I got 3 walleyes in the morning and when the bite stopped, i went to my crappie hole. Sat there for a few hours and got over 25 but only kept 14. Most were only 9 to 12". Decided to go back down lake and drift for eyes at 5:pm. East side, just before the white crane area, i drifted over a BIG brushpile in 13ft, near a 3ft dropoff. Threw out a marker and went back and hammered the gills. Got a few nice crappies too. Ended up keeping 27 gills too. Most were 8", with a few over 8. Took a picture ofthe fish in the livewell but dont think i've loaded it yet. I'll add it later. All the gills from the brushpile were caught on a finesse shad bait.
