catching fish........

i couldnt decide where to place this, so if it is in the incorrect place, please move it.....
i am new to crappie fishing. i see a lot of great info on this site and the folks here are really great!!!! one thing i have noticed is that a lot of folks are catching fish and posting pics, but no mention of how they caught them.....how deep, bait, cover or structure. i am not concerned with location or spot on the lake, would just like to know what it took to take the fish. it may help newbees like myself to start catching larger quanities and more quality of fish.......thanks........
