    Default Broken tail on large mouth bass mount


    I knocked my largemouth off the wall the other day and broke some of the tail off. Does anyone know if this can be repaired. I have the piece that was broke off.
    A crappie day fishin beats working any day!!

    Yes it can. Find a good fish taxidermist in your area. He/she will inspect it and can either rebuild the damage or replace that broken tail with a reproduction tail. Lots of times it will look better if the entire tail is replaced. Go to

    Taxidermy Net

    and look in the column for taxidermist with web sites. That should give you a listing for those in your area.
    I have redone fish that have been mounted for almost 50 years that looked BETTER than the day they were originally mounted.
