lake charles help

I was wondering if i could get some information about crappie in lake charles. Ive never fished there but me and the wife are going to give it a whril this coming weekend A few pointers in where to go on the lake would be great. Thans a bunch

the lake is really low. the two ramps together on the dam are unusable. the ramp to the east of the handicap fishing pier is the only launching ramp. the state park ramp is also unusable. you can catch fish but most will be shorter than the 10" limit. hope this helps
