Good question ..... LOOP for sure! It helps the action and they are easier to cut.
Do you tie a loop or a tight knot to your jigs?
THE BEST TIME TO FISH IS WHEN IT'S RAINING AND WHEN IT'S NOT RAINING
Good question ..... LOOP for sure! It helps the action and they are easier to cut.

in my thinking when spidering knot, I dont like any "play" which at slow speed can allow bait thievery. when long lining just like Speckanator says "action and ease".
I aint here to tell you anything. You want to know what Im doing....pm me and meet me on the lake.
Loop for added action.

Loop...I change jigs alot and that knot is easier to cut (bite:D).
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Loop for added action across the board.

Every day you do not fish will be one day less you have to fish
All depends on how you are fishing I use both

I have always used a knot. with so many using the loop I may just have to try it.As far as cutting ease for a reason to use them ,I keep a pair of fingernail clippers in my
pocket for just those occasions.
i agree with Nate, longlining i use loop, spider riggin, use the knot, tight to line so
as jig stands straight out, tipped with small minnow............. move very slowly
though .1 - .3 mph.., also on spider rig, use 18 - 24" leader on swivel to a snap on
main line..........easy to change out colors, jigs, jig weights. (Use lindy spinner
holders for spare jigs) if hit by a gar, bass, big cat, things get really tangled fast..
better to cut reload and go..........
