what are the top choices of crankbait colors?

what are the top choices of crankbait colors? Im new to this kind of game, just want to get started with out buying every color to start with.

I think you have to have them all in order for any of them to work.

Didn't know what brand you were going with, but I only use bandits... So I gave general color not brand specific color names

I always, without fail, have a fire-tiger tied to a rod when trolling.

On overcast days, BLACK BLACK BLACK! After we finally found the fish Saturday, we started smoking them on black... Only caught three till 11 am... From 11-12:45 caught 11 more keepers and probly the same # of throwbacks and had to leave for weigh in... of ten rods out we had 8 black cranks. Woulda had more out but thats all the black we had in the boat

In a bandit I like a Mistake, Awesome Pink, Pearl/Chartreuse Belly, the old Humbee(still can't understand why they quit making it), and Clear Crawfish.

I can attest to what Mo' says about the black baits. Down here they catch fish. I've had more success though with a Wally Marshall black than the Bandit.

Possibly, only other difference is the pink stripe down the belly. Its wierd some days the two hot colors are black and white kinda hard to figure out a pattern off of that info.
