I witnessed a redfish caught in Lake Monroe, and have caught stingrays in the Wekiva river. I have HEARD(????) of bullsharks being caught in Lake Monroe as well.

    huntinslabs,
When I was in my 20's I saw a man speck fishing in Harney catch a huge flounder,I'm guessing 10lbs.When I was younger yet a neighbor of mine would take me fishing at his camp in Astor.
We went to some of the old fish camps and I saw jaws from sharks and lots of b&w pictures. What a great place to have adventures in as a kid and now as a lot bigger kid!

Was fishing in the Green Cove area of the river about 10 years ago. Was fishing small pieces of shrimp on the bottom for croakers and drum. Hooked a fish, thought it was a big red. Then about a 40lb tarpon jumped out of the water. Didn't stay on my small fishing pole with 6lb test for long.

Yea, thats about my experience with Tarpon as well. hooked em while fishing for redfish and kept em hooked for about 3 seconds a piece. 1 jump and done.

    Default Lake Monroe Lady Fish

Caught this lady fish this morning in Lake Monroe. Anyway, where there's lady fish there should be speckled trout. Maybe I'll break out the salt gear.
