There's plenty of variations, but in water less than 10' I use 1/2 oz. and try to run about .4 mph. Deeper water of if I want to cover a little more water, I'll bump up to 1 oz. and run as fast as .8 mph.

1/2 oz most of the time. 3/4 oz when the fish are deep. Generally move at 0.0-0.5

A lot of times if it's windy just a drift will work.

I use 1oz all the time. In the spring when the water is still cold .4 to .5 when it warms up above 65 .8 .9 ive even caught them at 1.2 or 1.3

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I've always used 1 oz of weight but as of lately have stepped it down to 1/2 oz and find that works good too. I "bump" along at a crawl when I think I'm in fish....and up to about .3 mph.

I have a 70lb thrust, 24v, variable speed trolling motor that I can crawl with....best thing Ive ever had for trolling.....draging chains stinks for those who put out brush piles/stake beds/ condos etc.......maybe a drift sock or a bucket with some hole drilled in it would be better....
