sounds like ya had a decient start, what area of the lake are ya fishin? and what all did ya try? In the late summer, I have been most consistant pulling bandit's down by the dam. but then again, I have not fished twain in over a month now, so what do I know? Lol! I usually would focus on the south banks, where the main channel swings up tight against it. south banks get less sunlight and are likely to be a couple of degrees cooler this time of year.
before I started pulling cranks I would always drift the bluffs tightlining 2 rods about 10-15ft deep and with the 3rd rod I would pitch a jig to the stick-ups or laydowns along the bank. don't forget minners and nibbles.
