There's one that covers a good part of Ohio called Buckeye Crappie Challenge that used to be a good organization. But honestly, they don't keep their website up as well as they used to (haven't posted their last 3 tournament results) and I understand attendence has been declining.

Crappie Masters has a bigger pay out. I used to fish the tourneys long time ago when it was called "Crappiethon USA". It was not uncommon at all to have an average of around 200 boats in a tourney. Heck I fished one at Lake West Point in Georgia that had 451 boats entered. Its just not the same any more.

Rusty, you are right about the fall off on tournament participation. The Economy has really hurt the average guy. Man, it takes $100.00 just to fill up my pickup and boat. By the time you add up the entry fees, and a hotel if it is an out of town tournament the cost just isn't worth it.

Yea, I too am feeling the economic pinch. Still looking for a decent national organization, any accept local clubs?
