    Default Baby shad-like jigs

I love fishing the bobby garland baby shad baits. I was wondering if there was any other soft plastic lures shaped just like them that would be cheaper. Ive seen some but caint remember the name of them.

I have Kalin's Shad, a similar bait, for $4.95 for a 50 PK. Great colors such as Acid Rain, John Deere, Black/Blue/chartreuse, Lemon Merangue, Popsicle and other well known Kalin's colors are available.

    Panfish Assassins Tiny Shad ??
    Lakefork Live Baby Shad ??
    Bob's Jigs Baby Shad Stinger ?? (Bait # 68)

They're all pretty much the same bait as the Bobby Garland Baby Shad, with the difference being length (in some cases) & colors. Prices depend on where/how you purchase.

I've had good luck with the 1.5" panfish assassins, especially the crystal shad. One advantage is because they are smaller, you catch more of the short hitting fish. I bite a small amount off the head so it will fit better against the jig. There's times of the year I believe they will outperform grubs, especially when fish aren't in an aggressive mood.

I know Bass just love Zoom Super Fluke's also there is a regular Fluke and if mymemory serves me right I think they came out with an even smaller version called Tiny Fluke. So now they have 5 sizes so that should tell you how popular theae are. When I want to play with some bass this is like my favorite bait to use unweighted (super Fluke size) and I know the Tiny Fluke is like 3", bit small enough for a crappie. ALl I know is Zoom baits catch fish. I do not know how price compares though.
    Tiny Fluke

Looks like they have some really great colors too.
