    Default Smithville 8/1

Dusted off the minnow bucket this morning and dipped a few trees. Dropped the first hook in the water about 8 am and had a limit of "EATERS" in the livewell a couple hours later. Hardhead has me using the term eaters now.....they all eaters if they make the minimum. You can't stockpile crappie no more than you can stockpile ducks.

Anyway, it was nice to hit the water this morning and saw very few boats.

You all better get out there. The fish I caught were plum full of shad. It's on if you don't mind the heat!

Good report! Hope it stays that will save me a few miles of running to Truman for a good mess of EATERS!
