    Default Bucksaw 7/28-7/31

Fished out of Bucksaw the past 3 days. Caught alot of fish. Fished some down and some up river. Some minnows, some jigs and at times both with a double rig, jig on bottom with minnow 1 foot above. Had a double on Sat with an 11" on minnow and 12"on jig.

From what we seen go down for numbers and go up for size. Most of are larger fish came from up river and the fish seemed to be alot more aggressive up river. Sat afternoon found them in 18fow on the LARGE hardwood stumps and drop shotting to bottom and then bringing it up. Bigger fish on or near bottom, smaller fish 8'-10'. Jig colors that worked the best seemed to be blk/cht, red/cht, or purple/cht.

Good report, Matt. Was nice running into you and the lovely Mrs. Tamer. Sounds like you had a great weekend.

Hey Bob, it was great seeing you out there too. Mrs. Tamer had a fantastic time she is now thinkin she may be the Crappie Queen. Fri/Sat morning she actually put more fish in the boat than I did, which helped to boost her confidence on the crappie. I am happy to see that she can now contribute to adding some Eaters to the livewell.
