    Default Wapp Saturday


    Took my buddy, Keith, to Wapp today. He wanted to learn about slow trolling. Put in at Rockwood Beach and started fishing the channel north of the Swirl Hole. We were on crappie immediately. Jigs, Jigs tipped with minnows, straight minnows, color didnt matter much. Later we ran up river and fished the mouth of Otter Creek. Early, the best fishing was in 3 to 5 feet of water. Later we caught them 6-12 feet fishing deep. We caught a bunch of short fish. Kept 14 but I think we probably threw back 8 or 10 legal fish. Met Talltimber on the water. He fished the ledges with us. He wound up with about 15 also.
    Nice morning. Overcast and not too hot. Keith took home a nice mess of fish.
