    Default Crankin with Rapala's

I am a newbie to crappie fishing. I have been crankin for about a year now since a wise fellow told me to try it. I have done pretty good using Rapala X-Rap Shad and the Rapala Shad Rap RS. I have a very good idea about how deep I am fishing while using those cranks, but is there a chart on the running depths of these lures.

Usually it says right on the box. I imagine their website would provide the info on the specific lures.

Thanks. Question, Is there any charts available like the ones for the bandits where they tell you the amount of line needed to reach a certain depth. Honestly I have a very good understanding on using these lure but I would just like to have something on paper because I am creating me a how to referance log on how to troll.

Do anyone else use the Rapala X-Rap Shad or the Shad Rap to troll for crappie?

This is what you are looking for. This is where the Bandit chart came from.

I've been pulling a Rapala Shad Rap for the past three months. I'm using an Ultra-lite Lews rod with 4lb line and catching everthing with it. 7lb Largemouth last week. The big whites love it. If I pull 3 rigs then one will have the Rapala on it and if I'm only pulling one , thats the one!

IMO one of the best cranks for pulling of all time is a #5 jointed shap rap in black silver. Day in and day out this bait catches fish. Maybe because is actually looks like a bait fish?

Either way it flat our has worked for me.

    Good luck

    Fish like your hungry!

After I got to thinking about it, the color might be silver shad.
