    Default land of the giants

heading down to miss. in the morning, going to try grenada and enid for crappies and maybe even try some other smaller lakes for bluegill (brim)
    will post the results .
just hoping to get a few over 2 lbs., never caught one that big before, they just do not grow that big here in mich that often.
might even try some catfishing ?
am going to be staying in the state park on grenada.

I hear this should be a good week, any tips on what to try?, mostly I tightline jig, but also love to fish the brush with the ol cork n minnow. :D

The fishing is definitely heating up here in Mississippi- especially over the past 3-4 days. Looks like the warming trend will continue for the next week or so. Look for 4-6 feet of water with stumps/brush. I have been catching fish 2-3 feet deep in 4 foot water the past few days here at Ross Barnett Reservoir. My father-in-law fishes the lakes in North Mississippi regularly and the fish are doing the same there. Water temp is up to 64 degrees here right now. I think next week will be prime time for great fishing action.
    Best of luck to you.
