Default things are starting to warm up on smithville

Hit the little platte river for an hour wed. morning, fished from the bank with jigs3-8 feet of water.

Caught the usual assortment of 4-6 inchers, but also had about 8 keepers, females. One was a good 15 incher, full of eggs.Another had about 2 inches of a shad still sticking out of its gullet.
All in all,a satisfying day, water was pretty murkey.Blue white jig was the color du jour, with a medium stedy retrieve,or 3 foot pull/pause,hitting it on the drop.

That's funny cook, I did the same thing! I caught 7 keepers wed. morning so I felt pretty good about myself, went back this morning and well lets just say I didnt feel so good about myself today. I caught 2 small fish and that was it, oh except for that carp i snagged with a jig and 4 lb test on accident, that was exciting! Black and white was the flavor of the day on wednesday. Good luck to ya on the catfish ,they should be biting friday morning i would think.
Don't take life so seriously, no one lives through it anyhow!!
