    Red face kayak slab

posted this on the NC board but thought id share with everyone:
After todays rain around 4 i decided to go down to the backwaters in behind the house. the water is always muddy but was especially today b/c of the rains. fished with black and chart no luck. changed over to black and flo. pink first cast out of the yak had a hit. Set the hook and thought of a 1 pd largemouth. This particular river has loads of crappies but small small small biggest one before today was 10 inches. As i fought this "bass" on my ultra lite i seen white under the waters surface. I nearly flipped out of the yak. It was a massive 17 inch 2pd plus white crappie. I snapped a pic of it layin on my lap with its head hangin off of one end and tail the other. Unfortunately for the fryer we always let the first fish go and it just so happened he was the first one so he was turned loose for another day (sorry no pics,, on cell cant get em on internet)

Thanks to stratosguy got the pic put on the computer:

That's a good un. Is that a hybrid? I can't really tell from the pic, but the color pattern of the scales might go either way...

    X2 Congrats
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
