Truman is White Hot

The wife and I put in at what we call the Church place off of HWY 54 it's down this dirt road without a decent put in just a road ending in lake. Either way the stick ups were everywhere. We found the right ones because we caught a bunch of crappie before dark in around 25 to 30ft of water at about 8 to 15ft deep using a pumkin seed crappie jig tipped with a minnow. The wife caught her biggest crappie to date at 13". Think we had close to our limits and I am very grateful. But the bite was slowing down as the sun was going down.
So we dropped out the green crappie lights and did not get a bite using the same technique. We hauled in a better load there than any lake we've fished all summer long, but still had no luck at night. Maybe just a bad night or something? I dont no it was saturday night. Either way I cant complain because we had a huge mess of fish; maybe I'm bein greedy or just still havent felt like I have mastered that darn night bite. At one point the lights were submerged at around 5ft then at around 10ft either way we had minnows under the light at every spot fishing with crappie jig and minnow at around 20 ft deep and up every where around the light we could. If anybody had any luck at night this weekend let me know. If you have a chance to hit Truman do it and do it soon because it is a blast.:D
