Default Kipawa tri-wing trolling motor prop

I just bought 2 Kipawa props for two of my trolling motors. A buddy got one and it seemed to provide more thrust than the dual blade Weedless Wedge. Recently he lost his from not checking the retaining nut and they sent another no charge. Pricewise they aren't much different than Minn Kota's replacement props and they come with shear pins.

    Anyone use Kipawa?

I tried one and really couldn't tell much difference. This was on a 70lb MK.

I will post a report Monday. Maybe it makes a difference on small boats.

I have used one on each of the last three trolling motors I owned (46# MG, 82# MG, and 80# MK). I only checked performance specs on the 46# MG. The speed was slightly improved and the current draw was a little less.

I tried my kipawa prop on my transom mount / rowboat and the way I could tell it was an improvement was in reverse - it had more speed on the first setting. Forward maximum speed was better than Minn Kota's Wedge. I would buy another.

This weekend I will try the other prop on my bass boat.
