Size: 48.1 KBTook my 8 and 10 year old boys out bright and early this morning. Went down river past Cedar Creek, black and chartreuse tube pumped full of nibbles, 12 foot of line 20 foot of water on the flats worked the best. Some heavy fish, didn't keep any. Caught 14 keepers, biggest was 14 1/2 smallest was 10. Kids had trouble getting their jigs to fish catching depth, so I tied on some crankbaits and took off trolling. Caught 3 crappie and about 15 drum. Good day, was off the lake by 10:30.

Now that looks like two satisfied young fishermen. Congrats on getting them in the boat with you and on some fish.

Youngsters, boats, and biting crappie......... pretty hard to beat. Nice job, and darned nice fish. Congrats!
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
