Default Had a friend come herre last weekend and they wacked them good

A friend and his buddy brought their girl friends up here fishing and they couldn't believe how good it was. Now remember they don't even know the lake (my friend had been here only one time before) and just him and his girl friend caught over 70 in 3-4 hours that first afternoon and same the next day. The only kept 45 the first day and none the next. You should have seen his face when I told him that our limit was getting cut back to 25 per person in Sept. He said well isn't it 25 now? I told him no, here it's always been 50 per day per person. He looked at his girl friend and said we didn't even keep one limit for one person, LOL!

Anyway they had a great time and both boats caught all they could stand. He use one of my 1/32 Black/Red Cactus/Chart and his girl friend use minnows and he said he caught at least an many as she did on the minnows. Don't know what the other couple used, but they wacked them good too.

The never even left the sight of the marina they were staying at. Probably ran their boat maybe 200 yards? I will try to get some pictures.

Toledo Bend can be a great crappie lake!

Skip, you are sitting on a gold mine. People would give their eye teeth to catch quality fish like that. Well done to your friends.

I will have to ask him how he was fishing it which I will do that. Let me see if I took a picture of his order. Okay sorry it's not a better pic,but I just put them all on a cutting board to take a picture so if he wanted any of them again I would know what he got. It's the 3rd row from the right and top ones.

I use both paint and plated heads and just depends on which jigs I am doing. Most regular jig I paint and on the big crystal jigs I uses plated. So in his order there is both painted and plated.
The ones with a purple tail are painted.
