Wink Green light ideas and info?

Sitting at work tonight I wondered about submersible green fish lights. I was trying to come up with a cheaper idea and here is what I've come up with .... Take a green two liter soda bottle(mtn dew) put pea gravel in the bottom of it, go to the local dollar store or walmart and buy green snap glow sticks . Get some rope and sink her to desired depth. Any takers??? Haha just a thought guys appreciate any feedback from ya !

Go with the real light you will catch fish it will last a long time and you will spend less money in the long run than buying all of those glo sticks.
Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day; teach someone to fish and you feed them for life.
Matthew 5:19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

I agree. Sounds like nothing but headaches. Either you won't get it to submerge or it would be too hard to control or it won't give out much light at all. Probably all of the above.

I use the 408 LED size green light from Reel-Lite.......very low amp draw and never have to worry about your battery.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I did some quick looking but please help me out. What is the light for? I get something to do with night fishing but are they for attracting the fish ot just marking a spot to cast too? I am a little confused here.

Light draws plankton, that draws minners, minners draw fish, etc. Food chain.
