as much as possible.what helps me is I have 2 built in ice chest and one I keep ice only in.later in the morning when it really starts to heat up,as the ice melts I soak a white bath towel in it and ring it out.I drap it on my head and shoulders and put my hat back on. when first put on it's cold but I feel better than when I started that morning.when the towel isn't cool anymore I repeat the process.it will keep your core temp down and allows me to go all day.needless to say I drink plenty of fluids and that doesn't include any alcohol!! works great!! try it!

Summer is not as rough as it may seem. If you can find them, get stable weather, and figure out a pattern, they still gotta eat. Water temp here is in the high 80's and brought home 3 limits out of my last 4 trips, in the past 2 weeks. Vertical jigging. Night fishing with lights is another way to go.

as is trolling. Moving boat keeps a "false" wind which helps to stay cool.

I just got back from fishing today, got there at 10am and didnt leave the water until about 2:30. I caught 17 nice crappie. I fished at 10 to 14ft of water with a minnow tipped minnow head jig 1/8oz. It was 87 degrees with a nice breeze.
