    Default Smithville 7-10

The report is that it was hot. Even at 6am. Caught a limit 10 in to 12 in and about 20 shorts. Trees in about 20 fow, 6-10 feet deep. It was tough off the main lake so I finished past the Camp Branch bridge, 2nd cove on left. Used minnows, as usual.

No jigs, I hate minnows. Great job on the catch!

2nd cove on the left, just past all the shore fisherman? Is that right. Across from the island I presume?

    Thanks and great job!!

We did pretty well deep on the south south, way in past the Litton center on Saturday. We caught about 40, only 15 keepers. Surprisingly they were both fairly shallow (around 8 ft) and deeper too in the 15-18ft range. Minnows worked by far better than plain jigs.

Friday night we caught a few on crank baits along the channel on the east side of the main lake just south of the W bridge.

Thats it. About half way in, 20 fow. The only times I ever catch them in there is when it's hot. Kinda weird, but true.
