    Default Whats working for you?

Hey guys. Its 104 outside here today in lower Alabama. Thought a thread on whats working and not working would be fun.

On the Delta rivers and oxbow lakes, I am catching fish with minnows around deeper structure. In 10-20 of water fishing about 8ft deep, I have been catching 8- 30 keeper fish a trip. Most of the structure is non visible stuff I have marked in my on board memory bank (ie, noggin) from when it was visible.

    What say ye fellow fishermen?

105° here today in East LA (Eastern Lower Alabama) Dew Point of 76 and heat index of 112°, I feel your pain Rofl I did get out Friday morning for a few hours early and fished a pond I hadn't fished in a few years. It had a few areas of small lily pads along the bank and I caught about 20 fishing 6-7' deep in 13' of water as close as I could get to the edge of the pads. Water temp was 93°. I can't wait for fall!!!!!!!

I've been doing pretty good on KY Lake pulling Bandits along channel drops. I was out for 4 hours this afternoon. It was 97 when I got to the lake but I honestly never remember looking at the surface temp, too busy watching for lake lice, the GPS and 8 poles.

Around 100 here in SW Missouri. Have been getting out around 5:45 and quitting around 9:00am. We have been doing very well on brush piles in 13-18ft and submerged trees in 20-25ft. The last few weeks we have had limits and been loading by 8:30, but this morning was a lot slower and we only had 22 by 10am.

Had to google that one myself, but I think I'll be using it a lot!

"lake lice. n. Pejorative name given to motorized personal watercraft, such as Jet Skis and SeaDoos."

I think I picked that up from Wiskers. I'm sure the tow boat pilots have several good names for the boating public they deal with daily.

Hotter'n blue blazes here. Using 1/8 oz lead heads with 2'' silver flake/ white Southern Pro Umbrella Tubes. Fish holding around wood in 8 to 10' of water. Bigger fish biting after it gets hot! Guess the are looking for shade or maybe a cool spot in my cooler. lol lol
