That's what I call a great first post. Congrats on the catch and trip and thanks for a very good detailed report.
Thanks for all the help and pointers on my first post. I decided to stick with Smithville today and my buddy and I caught approximately 25-30 crappie each. Majority of them were approximately 8.5 in. But a fish is a fish! Managed to get a little lucky and catch a nice 2lb white bass as well (Tons of fun on the Ultra Light!!)
I was fishing under the bridge on the pier farthest from the marina. Casting towards the rocks and slowly reeling in about the 4-5ft range. White/grey sparkle body with red tip on a 1/16th Jig head was the key there. I imagine we could have done a lot better if my buddy wouldnt have slept in till 10:30.... Doh
Probably would've been knee deep in em if we were there at 6am like I had planned.
Anyways, I hope this helped!
Have a good one fellahs

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Glad to hear you guys got into them .. sounds like a great day. Thanks for the report and once again, welcome to the board. Hopefully there are plenty more great reports to come.
You might consider buying your buddy an alarm clock for Christmas!
Nice job and welcome to the board! Those bridges offer some much needed shade on a day like today too.
