berry bend
well i headed solo down do berry bend yesterday, got on the water bout 4... just shot straight across from the ramp and started working the timber, started picking them up but they were small black's so started to move along the bluff's a bit quicker and when i got to the first cove started catching some better one's on the point, worked back in the cove a bit and nothing so just worked the timber around the mouths of cove's and along the bluff's... caught all my better fish on the point's of the cove's. nothing real big. they definately wanted it on the fall, caught just a few jigging, had to be dropping it, sum were just there, weird bite kind of. caught them from 18 ft to 42 fow 10-12 feet down... caught most on 3" junebug slabslayer's and today chartruese glow 2 inch beavertail. lost several in the cedar's, think i got two into the boat:o i remembered why i avoid cedar's if at all possible, lol... get's expensive! forgot how wonderful and peaceful it is to fish by myself!!! especially on truman, very relaxing and humble. fished slower than i have in 2 year's prolly, was nice! figured i caught between 50-60 with a lot of short black's... had a blast tho, got off the water around 11 today, the heat was killing me, and i had a couple nice half day outing's so i headed home! got lot's of fishing to do this week, did'nt wanna wear myself out, lol.... p.s. there are 63 step's at that damn ramp, lol, ugh
