    Default Smithville 7/9/11

Brushman, his kiddo, and I hit Smithville today around 6:00 am - 11:30/12. (about 30 min late due to me sleeping in). We fished in and around Honker Cove and inside Rock Cove. Started off with Rodney catching lots of good fish around 10in - 12in fish. We were fishing in about 8-14 fow using orange and chartreuse. I switched to blue and white and started catching some decent fish to help fill the live-wells. All in all, pretty productive day and I think we might have had 15-20 keepers total.

The fishing was very good, the best part of the day was watching Rodney make a tent in his boat (steering wheel to drivers seat, covered with a rain jacket) for his little boy to take a nap under a nice shady area.

I have fished with nvrgvup444, and he's a cool guy, so I'm sure they had a heck of a time. I'd like to get back up there and fish one of the tournaments on Smithville.
